Role of the APSM

The APSM, Association of Pharmaceutical Specials Manufacturers, was set up as the voice of Specials manufacturers in the UK. Unlike our licensed counterparts, Specials manufacturing is a less well understood sector of the pharmaceutical industry, mostly because legislation prohibits The APSM from talking about the medicines and drugs that are produced.

Working closely with pharmacists, regulators and other government and professional bodies, the APSM’s role is in educating, maintaining standards and ensuring the future of this vital sector for the benefit of the vulnerable patient groups we serve.
